PD it's not the end of you. it's annoying. I hate it, but I will not let it win.

The only thing with me is getting at a younger age. I'm 57 now, have had it for 12 years and I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to growing old. Other than that I'll fight it until the end. Both my parents are in their 80's and I hope not to fight it that long. A lot could change in 25 years with medications though. Somehow you have to make the best out of the worst times the "off" times. My times are usually two hours or so, I'll pop in a movie knowing that when it's done I'm "on".

I thought that. Then I thought it was the end of me and I would eventually go the way of Robin Williams. Then I discovered Mannitol.

I take Mannitol, too! Not sure if it's helping yet.

I understand where you are coming from re Robyn Williams. It's an awful thing but I seem to lift myself once I put my mind to it.

What's Mannitol.....prescription only or over the counter

It's a diabetic sugar - you have to find it on the internet. It is relatively cheap- about £35 for 2kg which lasts four or five months. Israeli scientists discovered that it had a remarkable effect on fruit flies with about 70% showing improvements. And a lot are reporting benefits on here, so it is worth a try.

That's the spirit! There is something you can do about it. Look at my profile and make contact with me. I have lived the past 15 years, medication-free. It costs nothing, but a lot of commitment and just 3 hours of exercise a week.
