Research has found that 'mating' stimulates dopamine production IN MEN! Apparently women need to engage in 'nesting' to achieve the same effect! Yes nesting is housework and tidying but it is also shopping!

Hmm, all sounds a bit old fashioned stereotypical.
Also from my experience I'm not convinced any woman gets dopamine release through housework - but shopping for a nice new sofa/bed/beautiful-thing-for-the-house could well do it.. ;-).
Curious about the research you are referring to. What I understood was that sex encourages a dopamine release in both sexes. (And housework definitely does NOT do that for me!!)
Think 'nesting' rather than housework. My nesting involves organising someone else to clean! In Brian Cortright's book "neurogenesis", he also emphasises gender inequality when it comes to the BDNF (brain derived neurotrophic factors) produced through ''mating'.
Related to this, practicing Qigong has improved my PD quite a bit. Qigong is the Chinese practice of cultivating the subtle energy referred to as Chi, or Qi. I (and others) have noticed that sexual energy is similar to Chi and can be harnessed to increase the Chi.
