There are at least 4 books : "Recovery from Parkinson's", "Yin Tui Na", "Once upon a pill", and the last one "Stuck in Pause".

All amazing and free. But do NOT read "Once Upon a Pill"...

Why not?

Because it is meant to erase all hope for anyone with PD to heal if they have been on medication for over weeks.

I might have to agree that the current first line medication - Sinemet - can reduce hopes of recovery due to the binding to B-6 receptors permanently. Read some of the Marty Hinz studies on Carbidopa, theyre a real eye opener.

Actually I found 'once upon a pill' although quite heavy going, to be incredibly well written/researced and quite fascinating.

It's well researched, Seamus, but she tends to retain only the facts that are in favor of her thesis, neglecting the others. This is not science.

I just discovered this online book and I agree; it has a lot of fascinating conjectures. I'm still reading - 4 books - Recovering from Parkinson's was updated just this month.

Someone should look at their data (hundreds of patients, each interviewed every week for years) and do a real analysis on it.

Very interesting - PD might be an "electric disorder"! I just skimmed through "Recovery from Parkinson's" and it seems to be definitely worth reading. However, the author states that their treatment doesn't apply to toxin induced PD and unfortunately sometimes it's hard to figure out the etiology of disease.
