I find it amusing how the double-blind studies always end up with poor results. The problem as I see it is that you take an isolated parkinson's patient to a clinic and tell him/her that he is contributing to medical research for a potential cure. A pretty nurse/researcher/doctor then administers a dose of something. And this extra social interaction, exercise (in having to get to the clinic) and imbued feeling of importance continues for several months. No wonder they feel better!
Still worth taking NAC given those brain scans. Wow! Or maybe that is just the pretty nurse...
