hi

back again My husband has been living out his dreams now just diagnosed with REM this is also part of what people get when they have PD he has all symptoms of PD but doe's not have a tremor. He has seen the doctor at the hospital but has not been diagnosed with PD. Is it possible that he has got PD?

Hi hairdresser

About 30% of pwp dont have a tremor, they are stiffness dominant.

The three early signs that are considered significant are loss of sense of smell, rhem sleep disorder and a history of bowel problems. Some also add depression.

Im not sure about the connection between pd and dementia but there are many types of dementia, lewy body dementia is the type associated woth pd.

Best wishes to you both.

PS i have a sibling with pd too.

My husband had/has REM & also had all the signs of PD with no tremor. It took 2 more years after REM diagnosis before they would diagnose the PD - though I knew it all along. I still don't get what the hang up was. Push them. If medication would help him he shouldn't have to suffer.

Some versions of PD are hereditary, but not all of them.

My PD is all in my head.
