A must read of information. Thought I would share.
Great article - explains so many details of PD treatments in easy language - so far I've read about 1/3 of it. The only problem I've noticed was recommendation of folic acid which can't be well metabolized (and can be even harmful) in people with MTHFR mutations (which may predispose people to PD to start with - see link ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/240...
No good unless you live in the USA..
Fantastic information. Thanks for sharing. Here is a Doctor that really cares and wants to help patients who suffer from the many problems PD can inflict on human victims. Physician apathy, and a distant approach, by a physician, toward a patient, in need of understanding, when dealing with this neuro-degenerating disease, can be very discouraging, to victims of this cruel disease. As one who has been diagnosed, by a neurologist, as having PD, I appreciate this forum, where like-minded "parkies" can support each other, and share valuable information, such as this.
I wonder if Dr. Fazzini is also trained in the protocols of Hinz and Costantini? Or in the option of using Mucuna pruriens?
I found it to be mostly self serving, in the if you want help you have to see ME. and talking about what an expert he is and how other doctors are not as good as he is etc.
Wow--interesting and comprehensive. Thanks for sharing.
Really interesting article. Thanks
Very useful. Here's some Wikipedia on this doc:
Dr. Fazzini was consulted by the Vatican for the treatment of John Paul II. Famous patients include Michael J. Fox and Muhammad Ali. He confirmed the competency of then Attorney-General Janet Reno after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. He was one of the co-founders of Rock Steady Boxing and helped to develop the Silverman speech therapy program for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease.
This seems quite inclusive and informative. Wonder if anyone on this site has seen this dr or been to the Medical Center where he is on staff
Catlou, given your symptoms this dr looks like a good resource for you. He is in NYC, not sure if this is a deal breaker for you. theparkinsonsdoctor.com I'd love to hear from any on the board who may have seen this doctor
