I will be starting a new job in a new State. I am afraid that my symptoms might really get bad due to these new stressors. I need to do well at this job. Any suggestions?

Hi, you should talk to your doctor : some medications help a lot in your situation.

I personally take a very small dose of benzodiazepine (in my case alprazolam), on-demand. The neurologist prescribed me a long-term benzodiazepine but, as far as I can, i prefer to take as few medication as possible.

I hope you success in your new life. Stimulation can also, like sport, help a lot with Parkinson's.

Thank you. I do take celexa and take Ativan as needed. My Doctor also has me on Rytary. I am still feeling pretty nervous about this change.

You will make it. A suggestion : how about using this forum like a friendly place to tell about what is happening ?

Moving to a new state and starting a new job are stressors for everyone, not just pwp. I will pray for you that God will keep you in his loving care.

Good luck. Try to get lots of sleep and not to rush around too much. You can do it!

Does your new employer know you have PD?

I assume you have Pd? What type of extra stress are you facing? Stress has an enormous effect on the progression of Pd and should be avoided at all costs. Try to not get stressed, it is possible and achievable. Good luck!
