Exercise and postprandial blood pressure

I went to my GP this week. My blood pressure was 100 over 60. Lower than usual definitely. I got to ruminating on this and realized that I had eaten a meal before I went and whenever I have eaten a meal and tried to exercise it has not gone especially well. At one point on a bike ride I had to stop and bend over and just try to breathe because I felt like I was going to faint. Apparently even my blood is no longer able to multitask! Something else to keep in mind. Boy, that list is getting mighty long.

Before my husband could recognise his off periods, we bought a home blood pressure monitor to check fir blood pressure drops after food.

Thank you for your response. That's a good idea. I don't have a blood pressure cuff.

I know this feeling Enidah

I have learned when i feel 'yuk' that i need to take my Blood Pressure, so far it has been due to low BP. it can get very low, after meals and at peak time of meds. It took me a long time to make the connection.

Of course its always good at the doctors surgery.

Yes, I wouldn't have figured it out if I hadn't eaten breakfast before going to the doctor. A happy coincidence, as now I know why I was feeling that way.

Excellent anecdotes and observations. Postprandial effects have been studied somewhat in PD. Effects may be increased in PwP due to elevated levels of levodopa/dopamine.
