Hi JoeC. When thinking abut how to go about dealing with Pd, we have two distinct choices. The first is the easy one, to take medication, which may or may not help with one or two of your symptoms, but whether they do help with some of the symptoms they do absolutely nothing to slow down the progression of your Pd, which will continue to get worse.
The other choice is to embark on an exercise program. That may not sound all that enticing, especially if you find exercise not very easy. Neverthess, if you really want to start to get better then go to my website reverseparkinsons.net and make contact with me. It costs nothing, it only requires some effort on your part.
ai have been off all Pd medication for the past 14 years and I now live a normal life at the age of 82, after having been diagnosed in 1992.
Think about it!
Good morning John
At least try to answer the post. Your answer does not relate to the post in any way what so ever. Just make a new post to get your message out. Joec does not say that he is doing poorly. Only looking for information. Your post is so negative. We have hundreds of choices to deal with Pd yours only one of them. Try and update your post it is getting old. By the way meds can and do relieve all symptoms for most people. It is only the ones that do not get relief that talk about it more.
Sorry everyone about this but just tired of John's type of message.
I know that some feel that way about me so i have cut back lately.
I will try to keep it positive in the future

John has been asked many times over many years in many different ways and in many threads to answer the question rather than promote himself and his book.
i dont hold out any hope that you will be successful but good try.
Hi Bailey. First of all, Happy New Year! I feel very strongly that when people ask questions about medication, they should be made aware that there are very viable alternatives to taking medication, which neurologists don't necessarily tell their patients and it is up to people like us to make them aware of these alternatives.
You know what exercise does for you and your Pd! I know what fast walking does for my Pd. I am not ashamed to tell others about it, and neither should you be. If patients are aware of good exercise and what it does, then they will be better off than they were before.
Maybe we should be writing a post asking why neurologists don't tell their patients to try exercise before they put them onto medication?
Good morning Joec
