Do you take inosine? Did you start with a low dose and work up to a higher? Do you take it before you work out, or at any other specific time?

Yes, I do, Beckey. I've been taking it about a year. Started with 500mg twice a day and tirated up to 3000 mg. I take two 500mg capsules three times a day but I'm a bit haphazard about the timing.

Interestingly, of all the supplements I take, it's the only one I can't seem to get over the counter in the uk (apart from melatonin) so I buy it from a reputable mail order place. If you put insosine in this fourm's search engine, the previous posts here are quite helpful. There are risks of gout/kidney stones but I'm not prone to these so I thought if worth a go.

Is it helpful?

No idea Beckey. It's supposed to slow the progress of the disease. I'm not sure how I'd know until further down the track. It's like I said, I thought it was worth a punt.

When I researched this treatment I found that the levels of urate the investigators were aiming for did *not* appear to be safe according to other studies. Proponents of treatments have their human frailties just like the rest of us, and that includes the tendency to minimize the undesirable effects of their favored fixes.

I was just selected to be in this its the sure PD trial. But there is an exclusion if you take any PD meds already which I do. It's 500,MG 2x day. And take potassium citrate to put back pH.
