I'm a year in on a Parkie diagnosis. I play a musical instrument but it is getting more difficult. But I must say my brain feels lit up after playing with my bandmates on a good night.
Music playing/recording and even listenings stimulates more positive brain function than even sex with Jennifer Aniston! Not that I've compared, but speaking from the music side of it I'd be lost without that form of language! Not prepared for any facial muscle issues. That would be my worst fear.
Thanks guys. Keep well.
Hi jeeves19.
I love your list.
I started learning to play piano about two years ego.
Difficult.
On top of really tensing the brain right hand is not strong enough.
Can only play in the morning.
Often think about quitting but haven't yet. Slowly progressing.
Ballroom dancing is a joy though! A lot of fun and we are doing it since my PD started.
Thinking about learning a new language- my memory has been deteriorating quickly in last few months.
