Park bear mentioned 23andMe in one of his post. Thank you. I went to their site and Joined. I will be getting my DNA profile and updates I believe it's 4 times a year. You do have to fill out a questionnaire. I should be getting my cheek swabs in a short while. You have to send those back for analysis.

Parkie13, my son did the 23andme for free. He spit into a plastic container and mailed it back. The questionnaires with the freebie are lengthy, but worth the contribution. My son has double vision, which is also often blurry, so as his caretaker I filled out the questionnaires. So far all the returned info is that he carries NO variants (carrier status). Interesting. We are Hispanic (Mexican descent) and my son was thrilled to see his high percentage of Native American (36.6%).
After a few months, and with a discount, I decided to get my DNA done thro them. I just registered my sample, but have not spit nor sent it in. I did do the questionnaire, far shorter than his, as I do NOT have PD, and had to pay. I am curious to compare mine to his. So, need to get my show on the road.
Hi about 3 years agoI did the DNA tribes DNA testing. I did pay for it I was curious about my ancestory background. When I was younger I never asked my relatives specific questions and now they're all dead and I don't have any knowledge except very general. It didn't show anything different but it was fun. Mary
I did the test with 23andme ,FTDNA and decodme if you want to know about you ancestry its better to chose FTDNA the 67 markers Y DNA test or the family finder test :
