Roundup is the most widely used herbicide in the world. If toxic exposure isn't on your radar - it should be. Even if you're not a member of a high risk groups such as farmers and people living in rural areas, you are still being exposed through diet.
Roundup is sprayed on cereal crops (wheat, oat, rye, barley), tubers such as potatoes, sugar cane, soybean and many other crops as a "pre-harvest aid" to even the ripening of the crop. Crops are sprayed with Roundup just before harvest, which can and usually does increase yield (but Roundup can't legally be marketed this way), because the dying plant puts the last of its energy into maturing unripened seed. Glyphosate is taken up into the plant - it is systemic, therefore it cannot be washed off or cooked away. The crop contains high residue levels of Roundup. When you eat products made from GMO and non-organic plants you are eating weed killer.
The FDA is not monitoring the dietary intake of Glyphosate. The level of Glyphosate exposure through diet has been grossly underestimated. As a consequence there has been an explosion in neurological and autoimmune disease world wide.
Roundup has been linked to several forms of cancer by the IARC, part of the World Health Organization (cancer is an autoimmune disease). Cancer is caused by the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) it is what we call oxidative stress. This is the same mechanism for neurodegenerative disease processes.
Genetics load the gun - exposure pulls the trigger. But remember this: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GENETIC EPIDEMIC. And neurological disorders, including Autism and Alzheimer's Disease, have reached epidemic proportions. The science is *unequivocal - these are environmental in origin.
Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff have published a series of research papers, the reading is a little technical - but the average person will get the gist of their message. Here's a link to copy and paste, but it's just as easy to do a Google search.
I'll freely share my knowledge, but it's no substitute for your independent research. I'm not a medical doctor, I'm person who's been poisoned (documented) and developed neurological dysfunction (documented) as a result. You can't get a doctor to say it's a named disease when there is a history of toxic exposure. That would connect the dots, and no one but the patient wants this.
My goal is to inform and educate the public on how we are being serially poisoned, and the role our government plays to promote the agricultural chemical industry, and simultaneously suppress research information that would expose unreasonable environmental harm (FYI, people are part of the environment).
Please keep in mind that I too am struggling cognitively, and some days are better than others. I welcome your comments and questions!

For a few years before my diagnosis of Parkinson's I had pain in thighs, inside, in the middle of my thigh. It actually hurt to walk I kept on thinking I had fibromyalgia. But I don't think it was that. I started taking 3 mg of Manganese and that helped right away with the pain. I still do take manganese once in a while
I think the media has dropped the ball on glyphosate, they are not doing any articles they are not informing the public. This state of affairs is dire
I believe you are referring to magnesium rather than manganese. The only similarity between these two is they were discovered in the same region of Europe. Manganese causes a form of parkinsonism.
Roundup should be banned. The corruption and collusion around its EPA approval has no limits. You don't see this information in main stream media because of the money Monsanto spends on marketing and advertising. They are buying media silence.
You have given a reference in support of your claim that people in the US arent living longer. If you read it, it says “The typical American baby born in 1979 could expect to live about 73.9 years. ... by 2015 ... The average American born that year could expect to live a little less than 79 years.” That is an increase of 5 years in 36 years. That’s living longer.
It does say that the US is not keeping up with the rest of the developed world in life expectancy but the reasons given are quite different from chemicals. Its more to do with your laws and systems.
I dont support Monsanto at all but i do think that information needs to be accurate.
Cancer rates are increasing. The cancer death rate is based upon the 5-year survival rate. I don't know about you, but I don't consider living 5 years past a cancer diagnosis as survival, nor is it an appropriate yard stick to measure mortality. But that's our government for ya.
Cancer death rates continue steady decline: The cancer death rate for both men and women in the United States has been trending downward over the past two decades. In men, the cancer death rate has dropped 1.8% per year over the last 10 years of available data. And in women, the death rate has dropped 1.4% per year during the same time period. Declines in death rates for female breast cancer, prostate, colorectal, and lung cancers are driving the overall decline in the cancer death rates in men and women
More than 60% of the world’s new cancer cases occur in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America; 70% of the world’s cancer deaths also occur in these regions.
The cancer death rates you cite are for the US only. Decline in the overall "cancer death rate" is based on 5 year survival rates. My argument is that therapy has lengthened life span but in no way does this mean that cancer deaths have declined. It's statistical manipulation. What would the cancer death rate be if it was based on a more meaningful 10-year survival rate?
This is the type of scientific fraud Monsanto/EPA engages in; they do short term studies and claim their product does not cause cancer, and the EPA approves the product based on their research - independent research is not taken into consideration; but when long-term studies are done through independent research (Seralini) low and behold, the mice develop tumors, and this is some of the research the IARC relied upon when they re-categorized Glyphosate as a probable carcinogen.
About the increase in cancer rates world wide - the areas you cite (particularly S. America) are heavy users of pesticides, and their pesticide regulation is abhorrent.
I am definitely NOT pro pesticides I am sure we would agree on many aspects and Im horrified at what the US allows. I used US figures because that is all you used. I questioned what you write because claims need to be substantiated to stand up to scrutiny by the opposition and I didn't find the references did this.
‘Terminator' and ‘Traitor' technologies are two examples of Genetic Use Restriction Technologies (GURTs). ‘Terminator' seeds are genetically modified so that the plants that they grow into produce sterile seeds (seeds that are infertile cannot germinate in the next season or any other time). ‘Traitor' technology produces GM crops that need to be sprayed with certain chemicals in order to grow properly. It is important to note that these technologies are targeted specifically at developing countries but offer no positive benefit to farmers at all. GURT technologies will cause African farmers to become wholly dependent on companies for their seed supply and for the costly chemicals that their seeds will not be able to grow without. The technologies promise rich rewards for the multinational companies, but they spell doom for small-scale farmers in Africa.
You just identified Monsanto's (and Syngenta and Cargill) intent to control the food system/supply. When you control food you control people (i.e. WWII). Saying this out loud labels one a conspiracy theorist. And if you look even closer, GMO crop production does not increase yield as promised and does little to feed the hungry. The rate of farmer suicide in India is alarming. FYI, the farmer suicide rate in the US is climbing and higher than those of war veterans. You won't find this information in mainstream media, you have to be part of the demographic to know to look for the information.
Ditto for pesticide poisoning, you have to be part of the demographic to know to look. And therein lies my mission - to educate and inform. We all eat food, we're all part of the demographic and we're all at risk for developing neurodegenerative disease. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is basal ganglia dysfunction, so is Parkinson's Disease - the risk of PD is high in this population (or, I would argue, ASD is pre-PD). The Samsel/Seneff research papers link gut dysbiosis caused by Roundup to Autism and other disease processes. If Roundup can cause Autism, then it stands to reason it can also cause other basal ganglia dysfunction in closely related alpha synucleinopathies. Autism and Alzheimer's Disease have reached epidemic levels - there is no such thing as a genetic epidemic, this favors an environmental etiology. And the smoking gun is Roundup.
Thanks for highlighting the issue and the references. The connection to coeliac disease looked very strong and we should be concerned about damage to the gut bacteria from eating contaminated food (good to stick to non GM and organic). A direct connection to PD across the general population (as against individuals who had direct exposure to Roundup) looked more speculative particularly since the increase in death rate "signal" occured 4 years earlier than the increase in roundup application. I agree that Roundup should be banned!
Gut health is a really big deal, it is said: "if you heal your gut, you heal your brain." Samsel and Seneff showed the pathway for gut dysbiosis to cause a number of illnesses.
Importantly, Monsanto patented Glyphosate as an antibacterial in 2010; the problem is, it kills the good bacteria and allows pathogenic bacteria to thrive.
When I was poisoned, I was also very concerned for our livestock, one of the symptoms I learned to watch for was diarrhea. Thankfully they had a buffer and didn't show signs of illness - however, I did not and got a direct hit.
We live in a toxic environment. Roundup isn't the only chemical linked to Parkinsonism, but it's one of the most important. Prior to the wide spread use of Roundup, we were being exposed to organochlorine pesticides (OCP) (DDT, 2,4-D and Agent Orange) which are also neurotoxic and carcinogenic. Monsanto marketed Roundup for decades as "practically non-toxic" because it supposedly broke down quickly in the environment and was less persistent than OCPs . We're now finding out this isn't exactly true and the EPA doesn't take the additives and so called "inerts" into consideration (which may also be contaminated with dioxin).
Looking up stream, what other pesticides were being used at this time? Without question there is an epidemic of neurological disorders that cannot be explained away. I get that correlation doesn't imply causation - but explosion in the use of a single pesticide + explosion in disease, is a foregone conclusion, there exists a temporal relationship. If glyphosate were banned we'd have the answer for sure.
I haven't researched carbidopa. I do know that levodopa is associated with melanoma, and Vitamin D2 (synthetic form) is associated with worse outcomes. Get your Vitamin D from the sun but avoid sunburn, if you supplement there are organic forms of Vitamin D3.
For every pharmaceutical there is an equivalent found in nature, you just have to look for it. I'm not interested in using any pharmaceutical, knowing what I know now.
Glyphosate does a tremendous damage to your RNA. When you are eating meat you are eating glyphosate from the animals being fed even quote-unquote a good vegetarian diet , supposedly. All those animals are suffering from consuming GMOs soaked in glyphosate. As you said the animals get diarrhea and all kinds of digestive upsets and their reproductive cycle is tremendously changed.
If we are what we eat, than what can we expect when we eat sick animals and pesticide contaminated produce? Fast food beef comes from spent dairy cows who are pumped full of antibiotics for mastitis. I won't touch farmed fish - the chow they're fed is contaminated. The chow they feed the research animals is contaminated with glyphosate too. Commercial food production is disgusting, commercial produce production isn't clean either. I see the commercial farmers around here spreading septic effluent and raw manure on their fields.
If people only knew, but the reality is, they don't want to know - until it happens to them. Sadly, there was a time when I wasn't aware either - I didn't have a reason to look. I'd rather have conversations with like minded people, people who are struggling just like me with an illness with no recognized cure. Working together we can positively impact each others lives.
For me, the key to finding effective therapy is identifying the cause. I know I was poisoned, and when I did my deep dive into research, the only conclusion I could draw is that the root cause of neurological degenerative disease are toxic/hypoxic processes (we're not talking about genetic disease, stroke and concussive trauma). I also concluded the medical community, the pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and our government is fully aware of this too. But there's too much money at stake.
I took what I thought were quality vitamins since 1967 upon advice of a dermatologist. In the 80's I gave up meat for just fish/mostly vegetarian diet, and then went organic in the late 90's Around 2007 I started with PD symptoms. I often reflect and wonder if we are getting concentrated doses of insecticides/pesticides/heavy metals/chemicals in our little vitamin pills that are suppose to help us....
