I have been treated for years with a leg-ulcer, although not deabetic. This created a permanent pain, treated sometimse with strong painkillers.

The pain resulted in Parkiinson, probably due to lack inn Dopamin. I am looking for uptodate treatment on Parkinson.

Pain is not among the known causes of Parkinson's. It appears that insecticides are a prime guilty party, although not necessarily the only guilty party.

Have you been diagnosed as having Parkinsons? If so, your doctor should refer you to a Movement Disorder Neurologist for advice.

Curious, ulcer treatment lasting for years sounds like you have been bedridden and receiving inadequate care (regular re positioning, zinc oxide...etc.) What is the cause of your leg ulcer if you don't mind satisfying an old man's curiosity. This old man retired from work in a facility for chronically disabled where good staff had a laser focus on prevention of pressure sores keeping them from ulcerating. But then yours might be of a different origin.

You are right about the long time: It was an incident in the gym. The machine was mis-fitted the wieght was not properly set, and i didn´t see it. All docs & nurses treated it as diabetic, although my glucose is between 90 and 100, for years. My nutrician is close to the US health guy, Robert Haas. But none of the medical staff had information about nutrician. The long time was because of different treatments, plus heavy doses of antibiotica. But now I am on the right track n with the ulcer. But one doc took me on the side to tell me that the PD was probably created because of a deficiit in DOPAMIN in the brain.

I would appreciate your recommendation. Can PD reverted by exercises and medication

Thank you in advance

Thank you for sharing the history of your skin breakdown/ulcer. Glad to hear you think you are on the right track for healing it. Pray for healing, keep it sanitary. Don't know where it is on your body but try get sunlight on it-follow your wound care specialist advice if you have one.

There are several regular participants at this bulletin board who are proponents of exercise as therapy for their PD. Check out Bailey's posts as he is prominent among them. I get lots of daily "exercise" through meeting the care of my disabled spouse (MS) as well as I can. Reverted(?) I don't believe so but there are patients that believe it can happen. PD can be managed pretty well, you have found a good bulletin board for positive influences.

Thank you for your advice.I totally agree with your tip about keeping the wound clean. The wound is at the lower part of the leg. My friend is an ex-national basket ball player from Italy. These guys know a lot about handling knees and feet. His remark is: When he sees how the nurses are making the bandage, he knows why there are only a small number of them in the NBA & over here in Europe.

I am glad about your remarks about this Health Link.

Kindest regards,

Was the ulcer treatment antibiotics? If so, do you know which ones?

The treatment was needed due to side effects during the treatments with Aqua cell, Mepitil Urgo clean. and others.
