My friend, who also has parkinson's and I were disgussing the fact that being alone with Parkinson's is a real downer. We decided that the solution would be to set up a website for single people with Parkinson's to connect for friendship or long term relationships. So if there's anyone out there with the ability to do this, we would be the first ones to sign up and if this already exists can someone point me in its direction please.

not available myself, however, just a comment... this could have been worse... what if you had married your girlfriend... her leaving you when you are sick... well, that's not loyalty for sure ! Our son, recently divorced and alone, finally got his dog back from the divorce... wow !! having his dog has made a lot of difference to our son ! at least our son is not alone.. it's a good temporary measure, until you can carefully find the right lady !! blessings !

I went to a small group get together once and we where discussing our ailments and when we came to a woman that I hadn't met before she said that she did not have Parkinson's, she just liked being around them. ( That's when I discovered that we have groupies, ) now how cool is that?

I do think it's hard for other people to accept Parkinson's but explain to them that its not only a tremor but the other things connected with PD I will always give them a leaflet to read explaining about PD, education is a good thing.
