Talking to yourself

Do you have A special phrase that gives you a lift when you need it? Maybe it's a silent gesture?

Would you consider Sharing it?

When I'm under stress, I say loudly to myself, "So What?"

I can't think of a specific saying in my head that I turn to each time, but it's a good idea.

Actually yes, and I have just realized I was doing it. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming".

A classic phrase many have recommended is "This too shall pass." I have not used it myself, but could certainly consider using it in extremus. If anyone here has relied on it in dire circumstances, they are welcome to chime in and enlighten us all. (Maybe Dr. Tribselyov can share a related quote or two from the Old Testament?)

I say over and over "We can do this!", and it gets done. Somehow. Anything from holding my urine until I get to the bathroom, to stooping and picking up something on the floor. We can do it, I am sure!

My favorite one is..."If this is the worst thing that happens to me today....praise the LORD and be grateful." It reminds me that things could be a lot worse.
