I do like a bit of Ian Drury, he was one of a kind. I'm sure he won't mind me stealing his song title after all he had his own mobility issues with childhood Polio.
In my quest to keep moving I went walking today the countryside where I live is breathtaking. As my mobility crumbles I am finding ways to compensate. Only people with this condition will understand when I say long flat stretches fast become Alice in Wonderland tunnels that seem to never end and walking is impossible. So I deliberately choose complexity. Steep hills, uneven surfaces, grass, gravel, rocks. The more varied the better.
Today I also fashioned a walking stick from a fallen branch. The stick itself doesn't improve my walking. It did however improve my confidence and I improved my walking.
I walked for more than an hour up to Fat Lips Tower and was rewarded with 360 views and chocolate.
Hit me with your rhythm stick
Hit me, hit me
Das ist gut! C'est fantastique
Hit me, hit me, hit me
Hit me with your rhythm stick
It's nice to be a lunatic
Hit me, hit me, hit me
