How ill do you have to be to convince them you are ill? Not sure they understand what it's like to suffer from p.d.!!

Hello philg. In what particular way do you suffer? Having PD can mean many different things.

Phill is this about a PIP assessment?

Did you know that the Information and Support Worke from Parkinson's UK is able to talk through the form with you and tease out the questions so that you can answer them realistically.

Hi.

I got my Parkinson's UK support worker and my Parkinson's nurse to guide me. They were both invaluable and my application was succesful. My advice is to share as much detail as possible on the form by explaning how the condition impacts on your ability to do daily tasks. Best of luck.

One of the benefits of using the Symptom List that I created, is that you have a tool to explain what symptoms you have and show them where they can read the description of each symptom.

Send me an e-mail to: macbunch@Hotmail.com

I will send you the Symptoms List with 100+ symptoms using an Excel program. At the very top of your e-mail, put "Symptoms" in the subject box.

This offer is open to anyone reading this post.

PETE, I don't have your e-mail from this venue. I need you to send me an e-mail @: macbunch@Hotmail.com In the subject area at the top, simply put 'Symptoms' and I will send you two different formats of the Symptoms List.

Hi philg. What are you doing or taking for your Pd? Are you expecting to suddenly feel 'normal' if only for a short while? What are you expecting?

Thanks for all your replies! Had my assessment! Didn't go well! The woman didn't listen to what I had to say! So I'm thinking about appealing! Anyone got any experience in having to appeal?

Kind regards

Phil

0808 800 0303 Is the free helpline number of Parkinson's uk. They employ benefits advisors specifically to help with appeals.

I think it will take a while to hear your result so you will have time to contact them and ask them what steps you will need to take if you don't get the result you think you deserve.
