has anyone noticed any difference when taking brand or Generis tablets .

I have always kept an open minded on this and we have hAd over the years some different ones.

the latest monthly dosset box contained his sinemet plus but was the original brand yellow oval .

he is in the second week and I am finding an improvement in John . early days I know and still far from good . He does get days not quite a s bad as other but this is the eighth day . I will keep updating .

I am not raising my hopes ..

john has been on Sinemet plus for seven years . I have always had my doubts but have alway kept an open mind . But never having found them to be any real help , put it down to progression .

he had Ben very sensitive to quite a few meds . They can make a real mess of him .

we have had a few different brands , he has recently had a dosset box so apart from shape size I wouldn't if different .

this month he has had the original oval shape . it's the best 10 days for a long time . o mean by that a little bit more alert and responsive . it has made me think .

Yes I would think also. Unless he is having a honeymoon period. Keep us informed. I always wonder about the generics but they are usually so much cheaper. I take them.

I have an idea the round tablets work as consistently as the oval although as far as I can see from the contents info.they are the same

YES! and my new neuro just confirmed that some people do better with sinemet brand rather than the generic.

I have always felt that the delivery of the Sinemet has not been right

For a few hours after taking it John becomes more switched off . I believe it floods the brain .It almost does the onsite to what it is intended for . Then it's time for the next does . I did read Pete in post wher he said to take lower doses more often .

I can see him slowing don in front of m his face changed shape even he was on the patch for along time but it affected his skin and he has been very sensitive to other meds

I can not and will not use generic. It throws my med schedule into a tizz and can not function. There is lots of data about this so don't let insurance companies push into to this, have your Neuro write and call to plead your case.

We definitely noticed a difference in generics. We got a sub once because the pharmacy stopped buying from the regular one which wasn't nearly as good as the one we were used to. Generics don't have to be exactly like the brand or like the other generics.
