I have been noticing that some of the messages on this site are quite old. I have started reading something and then notice that it is 3 years old. Please be aware of this and not waste your time reading these very out-dated messages.

Old messages
Good point. But let's not automatically lump all the old posts in the "obsolete" category. For example--just one of many--the posts of John Pepper are often evergreen, and retain their value even years later for those who are at least somewhat receptive to his ideology.
I am not suggesting that we group them. Just wanting to alert others to notice the dates that are listed on the messages. I spent 10-15 minutes following a bunch of posts that were 3 years old and were out-dated information. And I am not new to the list.
I don't understand your logic. Why is an old message necessarily an erroneous (or not valuable) message? For insight about new techniques (DBS) or delivery mechanisms for drug therapy (or new drugs) that might be the case. But there are broad categories of topics... caregiving, support groups, disease perspectives.... that do not change.
The one aspect - absence of author (as they've turned their toes to the sky) may be an issue of inconvenience - but, hey we can't know how long we're going to be around and shouldn't stiffle ourselves because we might be short timers.
I am sure that I did not say that these old messages were either "erroneous" or "not valuable". I said it would be helpful to know if they were old. I know that the dates are listed on the messages. I was just not noticing them and thought it would be good to bring this to others attention. I will remember your advice and not let anything stifle me.
who is john pepper? have alot of ppl recovered using his book?
A book writer from South Africa. He has a strong viewpoint on exercise.
Ppl recovered? Depends on what you mean by recovered. Search this group and see if you find those that have accomplished a recovery.
Quite often people are still around after 3 years on the HU site and will respond to old postings. Like me for instance,
Reading old posts is very valuable because some of the wise ones, poets and characters that wrote so much good material no longer post and I do miss them plus there are some classic posts that everyone should see. I really feel silly when I respond to an old post that someone just commented on , and I thinking that it is new, also respond. There are some topics and questions that come up over and over again and use of the search engine can reduce this but asking anew and raising the question again gives an opportunity for new information and ideas to surface.
