Walking

I have been reading with interest the posts on walking as a method to relieve some of our PD symptoms. In that regard I might suggest that a walker use walking poles as an assist.

I have used lexi walking poles for a number of years and I find them very helpful. There are other companies that make them also. You may want to google them.

I would think they would be helpful. I would suggest you go to a sporting goods store and try them out. I find they give me a nice sense of balance and also some toning of the arm muscles.

Hi atty. I see no reason why walking poles could possibly interfere with the benefits to be gained by walking fast. It is a very useful walking aid for balance.

Good luck

John
