If you have PD be sure to enter via the red button. It is free if you have been diagnosed with Parkinson,s and most everyone else in the world has to pay $199.00. They are trying to get genetic samples of as many Parkies as they can so that they can find genetic similarities and perhaps a cure. They have about 10,000 now including mine.

Good post Metacognito . Way to go. It never crossed my mind but then so little does anymore.

Hey Metacognito - many thanks for this post. I followed the link and have received my health reports and DNA ancestry reports all for free!

This is absolutely brilliant and as you probably know was set-up by the (now ex-) partner of Sergey Brin, Anne Wojcicki, as Sergey has the LRRK2 gene. Actually he also has a blog which looks really interesting.

What I wanted to report back on though was the finding from my personal genetic disposition for PD.

Apparently I tested negative for the LRRK2 and GBA-related genes. And yet I have PD.

Has anyone else had the test ?
