Does anyone have this problem. Whenever I'm concentrating on what someone is saying or when I'm on the computer my eyes close and I have a job opening them. Is this a pd sympton?

Yes. Called Blepharospasm. See the following link to the relevant wikipedia page.

Hi Camper. I have the problem of falling asleep at my computer or while reading or even listening to people talking. This I think is a common Pd symptom but just having the eyes closing, I have not heard of before. You mean that you are not sleeping, when this happens?

Yes, so far as I know. My left eye (my Parkinson's side) in particular tends to close especially if I sit back and relax - most photographs have me with lowered lids

Now when I a being photographed I consciously open my eyes

Hi..can you tell me what you mean by saying that the Botox is leaching into your upper lip? i too get botox injections for my eyelids and I noticed that .the area between my nose and upper lip doesnt seem to move when I smile. is that what you mean by leaching. my smile is weird life a slash across my face.I am very self conscious about this.

Botox injections into your eyelids! What I'd like to know does it hurt!

Eyelid problems common with PSP. Mine stay open and I don't blink. Terrible problem with dry eyes. Use humidifier, drops, salve and restasis (very expensive and makes my nose run.) Tal

For me it is a problem when I need to hit the toilet at night which is very frequent. Sometimes I crawl on my hands and knees to the bathroom.

A friend of mine in our PD Support Group has the problem. She found Botox shots about every three months cures the problem, similar to solving drooling.

I do the same thing in photos and try and make a effort to hold eyes open. Sometimes worse than others. My kids always laugh at the pictures. When im tired its much worse. I also fall asleep while conversation is going on around me. The other day fell asleep in docs office, he woke me up when he came in. LOL

The same thing happens to me when I have my photo taken. I had to laugh when you said you fell asleep in the Drs office. My eyes tend to close when I look down at the keyboard on the computer!
