Has anyone had any experience with the natural mao inhibitor kava?

Hi DS310. I have never heard of it! Is it an MAO-a or an MAO-b inhibitor? How much does one have to take in order to do what Rasagiline or Selegiline do?

I took it pre pd for panic. It helped. Thought they made it illegal in uk anyway..?

It seems that there is major concerns for liver damage with use of kava. The effects of kava are said to be like taking benzos. I would be very careful if you decide to take kava, since there have been few studies on the long term effects.

I have taken it once, years ago and it made me feel stoned and turned my legs to jelly. I googled Kava and Parkinson's and it think it lowers dopamine levels or something. I would avoid it.
