Anyone ever go to a Davis Phinney Every Victory Counts Summit? He was a cyclist in the Olympics and the Tour de France. Then he was diagnosed with PD.

The summit in Tucson AZ 5 years ago was my first day long conference for PD. It was fantastic and has spoiled me for all subsequent meetings. I have attended as many as possible but they all seem lackluster in comparison. Go if at all possible.
Half way around the world is a bit far for me to contemplate. But any celebration of one person's victory over Pd is worth going that extra mile for. We should all celebrate success, wherever it occurs. It will encourage all of us to try harder to overcome our own problems, however big they appear to be!

John Pepper...I LOVE your attitude!
Hi grandmasanta. I wish I could encourage all Pd patients and carers to adopt a positive attitude towards the future! However we choose to deal with our problems, others will react to what we have done. If we make them feel happy, they will respond in that way. If we make them feel that they would rather leave us alone, then they will do just that. WE MAKE OUR OWN FUTURE!

I don't understand. Does he still cycle in competitions?
