I belong to 3 communities. Parkinson's as I have PD, RLS as I have RLS as a symptom of PD and Anitcoagulent (ACE) as I had a Pulmonary Embolism about 5 years ago and will take Warfarin for ever.
In a different style how about:-
We have a number of them . The grand old Duke of York he had a thousand men he marched them up to the top of the hill and he march he'd them Down again . Singing is good it also helps lift the spirit as well as exercising the mouth throat and swallow etc
I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack is my favorite song...truly inspiring!
"Little Green Bag" by George Baker
It is the lyrics to a song that is the test of time....this song my father use to sing it was a simple little ktune but the words were meant for everyone that suffers from PD....."I want to wake up in the morning where the morning glories glow where the sun comes peepping into where II'm sleeping and the song bird shouts "hello" I want to wander in the wild wood where the rippling waters flow I'm drifting back to childhood where the morning glories glow. I remember I remember the old swimming pool where many the happy day I spent when I should have been at school if anyone has heard this song or has th e words to it please contact me....This should be our theme song for PD,......remember the good times djr2003ont@yahoo.ca djr
One of my favorites OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL BY Bob Seger. If that dose n"t get you up; you will need a tow truck.
Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus describes my day. Just watched Glee! Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega. Hey Ya, Hey Ya by Outkast. All You Need is Love by the Beatles. Heard that in NIA class yesterday.
Alright Now by Free! My all time favourite, or I'm Still Standing by Elton John.
STAYING ALIVE BEE GEES
I love music. Go to iTube and create your own playlists. Most nights, after my husband has gone to bed, the lights have been dimmed, I listen to my playlists, add more and relax so much that it can be midnight before I look at the time. Reluctantly, I close down and hit the pillow.
Guess what I am going to do now?
haven't a clue.
How about..Brahms Lullaby, The Slaves Chorus from Aida, anything with Andre Rieu, Il Silenzio (original) Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, The Chicken Dance, Tell Me Ma, Maries Wedding, Cattle Call, The Pub With No Beer, Waltzing Matilda, Click Go the Shears, Kalinka.......
