Does anyone take an over the counter medi... - Cure Parkinson's
Does anyone take an over the counter medication to help with problems sleeping through the night that's safe to take with PD Meds ?
My neurologist said Tylenol pm was ok to take.
That is what I was hoping. Thanks for the good news.
I use 100 % natural oils, Lavendar is calming, Peppermint for energy, Coconut Oil in coffee ( drink reg coffee 3 x a day seems to help over all) not decaf that is nasty stuff they use to decaffinate with, stay all from carbination and diet anything. God Bless!!
if tylenol pm has antihistamine in it, my neurologist says this is dangerous for older people as it contributes to dementia. I limit myself to one benadryl a week. I supplement with melatonin and valerian, or Bedtime tea which has a combination of herbs including valerian. Usually with good result.
yes, i have used tylenol PM along with, 5 mg valium, trazodone, i sleep like a baby. lucky to get my last foot into bed. before i'm sleeping. and i don't feel groggy . trazodone relaxes the muscles . that is 50 mg.
Natural herbs "Alteril" .. Fall asleep faster, prolongs deeper sleep stages, reduces nighttime weakening a - no grogginess or drowsiness next day .. Works great for me!
Thank you everyone for your helpful suggestions. God bless you.
2 melatonins
My Neurologist suggested 6mg of Melatonin. Didn't work for me, but it's worth a try.
Every night i listen to Jody Whiteley hypnosis for sleep on you tube. She has different option, i.e. for sleep and depression, for lucid dreaming etc. She walks you through relaxation etc. It use to take me upwards of 2 hours to fall asleep, after listening to her for a couple of months i hear her voice and am out before she finishes the intro.
