My daughter, Jenni is getting married on 8th June and I am so looking forward to it. There is a mixture of excitement and apprehension .
I am walking her down the aisle and giving a speech, so am a tad anxious about that.
This will be the first time my wider family will see my Parkinsons in full technicolour!!!!.I have always been relaxed around them so it hasn't been on show but giving a speech to 80 people, definitely going to be obvious.
Everything is organised to the finest degree, speech written and all bills have been paid (ouch) so please pray for good weather.

It is great to walk slow down the aisle! More time for everyone to admire the bride. More time for pictures! More time to savor the moment. Yea! So happy for you.
I can totally relate as I also have a daughter getting married June 8th....only I am the mother of the bride. I am also excited and nervous. As crazy as it is I have another daughter getting married July 19th in SD. It is a crazy couple of months in our house...but fun.
YOU will be fine on this special occasion. If I may suggest, while giving your speech, keep your mind and eyes on your daughter & your daughter only, Not only is this a special day for your daughter, but since the birth of your daughter, YOU have been waiting and planning for this blessed moment. Enjoy this day and remember be happy. GOD bless YOU & yours. Congrats to YOU
I have a picture from my daughters wedding...... circumstances much then same. We are standing at the back seconds before the brides entrance just laughing.......
Truth be told my daughter looked at me and said "Which foot should we start with?"
and my reply was "Whichever one moves first!"
it was a wonderful time as itwill be with you. Have fun and enjoy it!
Congratulations to you and your daughter and your family!! You will be amazed at how quickly the day will fly by!! Remember to smile, because you will be looking at the wedding pictures for days and years to come.Good advice from the wedding coordinator at my daughters wedding.
She said she sees it all the time with weddings, everyone is so worried and they dont even realize theyre not smiling until they see photos.
I was my daughters matron of honor and had to do the speech at her wedding,I was so nervous, but I did it!! Like someone else commented, look at your daughter and her hubby to be and you'll be fine!! Enjoy the entire day and remember to smile.
