hi parkie-al
on the letter from the hospital they have got the name of a nurse but he is not due to see her yet but every where i turn i seem to hit a brick wall both my brother and his wife have learning difficulties she is epileptic with very high blood pressure i want to make their bathroom safer as it is very small and he has already fallen when getting in tryed OT said if he can get out of chair and bed then nothing they can do however i will not give up and if necessary i will write to minister of health and the media i never give up a fight but any help would be very gratefully received i worry that a serious accident could happen regards zegal
Hi Zegal,
You are in the UK according to your profile so I suspect your brother is there too.
Don't worry about appointments with Parkinson's nurses, if you have hit a crisis point phone their service. Get the Parkinson's nurse to refer you back to the OT.
Contact your Information and Support worker and he will help point you to the services you and your brother and sister-in-law might access
parkinsons.org.uk/local_to_...
This is the link to the correct page on the Parkinson's UK website. Put it into Google and search for it. From that page you will be able to look for the correct contacts.
Message me if you need to chat. I log on about once a day.
