Transparent membrane Eye

I have noticed this transparent membrane in December last year. I went to a eye test and was told it was nothing, there was nothing in my eyes. Both eyes have the membrane. I was told not to worry about. Last week I checked my eyes again to see if the membrane was still there, and the membrane has grown a lot from last check. It doesn't cover my iris but when I make moviments with my eyes- look down,up,left and right the membrane covers my iris and I have difficulty to see, it is like the light has been diminished and everything gets blurry. I also have pain in the daylight, or when I am in a room with bright lights, and it is painful to touch my eyes. I have checked many websites and could not find anything similar to my symptoms. I thought it could be cataracts or other disease similar, but the photos are different from mine.

Could you please help me.

It could be several things, most not necessarily serious but a couple things could be an indicator of health issues you may not be aware of. I would seek out a second opinion with a good ophthalmologist.
