I have osteoporosis in both hips. While I barely register on their scale, what cans can I make so that I stay off drugs?

I have osteoporosis in both hips. I barely register as that on their scale. They want me to take a drug that could damage my jaw and since I have implants that is one reason I will not be taking it. How do I manage a condition that doesn't bother me at this point and I would like to keep it from progressing.
