I'm open to a way that doesn't need the full usege of medication, I know I need some chemistry but if say example talking therapy helps me then maybe I'd benefit more

Hi karl7278 there is a time and place for medication. However, I can only relate to Anxiety and for me, Meditation has been the key to success.
I Meditate and do Deep Breathing first thing upon opening my eyes in the morning, mid afternoon and then again before bedtime.
This is done each and every day for years. Your mind learns to respond to the positive input over time so that if and when you do need help in relaxing, within moments your thoughts are turned around as well as physical symptoms eliminated.
I came off years of benzo use and now find that breathing can do more than popping a pill ever did. Plus it's faster, always with me and it's FREE. xx
You start out listening to short meditations on YouTube they can be from 1-3-5 minutes long. At the beginning it's all about finding the voice that works best for you.
It should be soft and calming. If your mind wanders, bring it back and start to listen.
That's why the short meditations are the best right now.
Let me give you a few to get you started. Be right back>..
Karl, Im nagging....this is something to see your Dr. about....
Meditate, Yoga, and a good lunch with friends At the end of the day, take a few hits of not-too-strong weed. it seems to ease obsessive thoughts, helps to relax (I dont know if you've ever felt this, but i feel sometimes that there is something i've missed, overlooked, in social situations, something i should know, but cant figure out) just a little smoke helps to think more objectively, either it should be forgotten, or its easier to figure out.
Its not every night, its just a suggestion, I might get blocked for! But it really helps with the blues that may come with hormonal swings, also. If you opt to try this, start with the weakest strains available, and of course check with your doctor first.
Also, two or three hits doesn't affect my asthma at all, again, not every night.
Advair is supposed to heal your lungs, its not a rescue inhaler. but if used rinse mouth and throat after use, could cause thrush. Been using it about 6 month and having positive results.
Dear Karl,1. Albuterol, depending on your needs, a nebulizer can work miracles. they have an advair round purple inhaler to use lately, sucks. 2. I have been taking bupropion, and duloxotine, and phenobarbital at night(for seizures) seems to work. Haloperidol works well also, but as with all medication, be wary of long term side effects.
3. I dont know anyone bi-polar who uses their medication as recommended. Its kind of hard to diagnose, medicate, and normalize yourself, when you see from the inside out. Rough.
Im NOT gonna try to have answers to questions I have no idea about,
For general safety, an asthmatic should have access to a rescue inhaler, like Pro-Air. for sudden triggers, anxiety can cause an attack, also allergies .
So, lemme tell you a story, about 5 years ago, I was sitting on my small town main street bench texting a friend, using wi-fi. A couple that i knew came walking up and we talked, and sat and watched all the boring-ness.
I had an inappropriate withdrawal from 3 years of 3 mg of klonopin, which left me fifty pounds lighter, so it came up in conversation. I told them what had happened. I looked my friends square in the face and said 'I want to be done with meds'. meant it too. And made it for a little bit. then I had a horrible panic attack, left me on the bathroom floor, hugging my knees for hours, I broke blood vessels in my eye, looked vile for a month. Then, I had to accept that I just needed medication. After 20 years, on and off, changing meds, side effects, and counseling, really wanting to not go through what i had been, I had to accept this is the way I am.
Not saying I could ever know whats right for you, I want to encourage you to accept what it takes to stay on top of your health issues. These are important, and can get away from you, if your reluctant towards the best therapy for you. Much Love,jh
