Set out this morning with husband who wanted to try the flat towpath for his w9r2. I graduated over a week ago and wanted to try a playlist of music instead of laura, so daughter sorted it last night so I wouldn't know what to expect!
Started off pretty good with great brassy ska Cat Empire track, then a fab Matchbox Twenty, bit of Paolo Nutini and Gaslight Anthem. And a good few more. But as I guessed I was nearing my halfway to turn round - hubby had set off ahead at his own pace - i checked Endomondo on phone and hit the pause button, then the stop by mistake! Grr. Back to zero then.
Knee started twingeing and couldn't quite get breathing right, so thought I had better walk for a bit, just in time for bit of Mumford and Sons. Ran a bit more then jumped out of my skin as a whippet came up behind and nudged my thigh! That put me off my stride again! Another walk then ran again, until a lady with a dog refused to move even slightly to one side for me, so the lab decided to headbutt my other thigh!
I have come to the conclusion that morning runs are NOT for me. Towpaths are NOT for me - I need a bit of a struggle uphill to enjoy a down bit - and maybe bouncy music is not ready for me until I sort out my knee! It as probably singing along a bit that messed up my breathing!
Oh well, I know I will feel different on Tuesday
