Yes, the rest days are rest from running. Any other form of exercise is ok

Oh hell yeh, I swim, aqua gym, zumba and walk on rest days (not all on the same day) I just don't run.
I've carried on as "normal" with aqua x 3, weekend walks and am sure it's helped with the programme, besides I'd miss them from my routine too much to go without - lol Greg, not seen or sat on my couch for days!

I do a boot camp 4 mornings a week, ride my bike 2-3x/week and am trying to fit in a yoga or pilates class where I can. I think all of these things are reinforcing each other.

go for it- the powers that be recommend 30 minutes of vigorous exercise a day- anything except running is fine for rest days- I'm happierswimming!
