Just thought I would post before my final run tomorrow morning. Can’t believe I’m saying those words, the weeks have truly flown by.
It’s been a really good journey through the sessions, some weeks have been difficult and I’ve questioned if I’m going to make it, but I kept going. I gradually learned to slow down and look around, run with a straight back not make too much of a deal about it, these things really helped if you’re struggling on the earlier weeks.
Believe me I was sedentary 46 year old before this, and looking back to the first week, I could barely complete the minute runs, now eight weeks later I’m running for 30 mins! I think this app is brilliant, it’s changed my life for the better! I’m looking forward to the next stage, thinking of running a virtual route from Lands End to John o Groats over the next year for some structure. Little nervous of leaving the Couch to 5K set up and Jo Whiley!!!!😂
Has anyone who had graduated joined 5-10k apps? If so do you have any recommendations or if any other apps?
Also I think I read somewhere you can get a digi badge, how do you do this?
Good luck everyone with your running whatever stage you’re at🏃♀️🏃♂️👍👏

Beautiful picture! I'm hopefully going to do my graduation run tonight (it would have been yesterday but it was far too hot) - I've been so impressed by how far this programme has taken me. I have the Nike running club app downloaded to try but am planning to consolidate a bit first before trying to increase distance, adding in a bit more strength and flexibility work too. After that I quite like the look of JuJu's magic plan to 10k but we'll see. Good luck for tomorrow - I think there will be quite a few of us graduating in the cooler weather!
I can also recommend the 3 excellent supplementary C25K+ podcasts: Speed, Stamina and Stepping Stones.
You might also want to check out the this month's Consolidation Post for new graduates.
I had just turned 46 when I started C25K... now 5.5 years later, I've run the London Marathon (2018), numerous half marathons... a total 3500 miles in that time.
