I graduated 25 days ago and have been running 30 mins every other day, slowly getting faster. But my right knee is football sized when I finish. I now wear a support, which helps, but will it eventually stop doing this or will I have to live with it? Not much pain - just swelling. Thanks

Sorry to hear this. Swelling is your body's way of telling you that something is up, so please do listen to it! i'm afraid nobody on here will be able to tell you if this will stop, but more importantly, you need to find out why it is doing this, before it turns into something more serious. You sound like you have been doing so well since graduating, so you don't want to sideline yourself with an injury that could potentially stop you running for weeks! And it certainly isn't normal to have a swollen knee after running.
I would recommend contacting a sports physio – lots of them are doing phone consultations or even video. Much of how a physio can diagnose you is done through a series of questions and answers, so it is not such a worry that they cannot physically examine you. Good luck!
I think it's shock! My knees are not used to regular exercise and I think they have decided to make their presence felt. I am resting it for the moment and hoping that maybe easing-off a little will help. When things are a bit more normal I will check in with a physio. Thanks for your help.
