Hello fellow C25k’ers, I was getting really into it and have been feeling super motivated to keep up the routine after having not ran for anything other than P.E at school for my entire life!
Until my knee has been giving me trouble... I had a similar problem when I was much younger which required me going to a chiropodist (foot specialist) and now that the pain has prevented me from running for a good few days now I’m wondering if it’s worth me going to my GP and asking if they can refer me to a foot specialist.
Does anyone have any experience of this? I’m always very hesitant to go to my GP but I would definitely go for this if they could help.

I had the same problem but was advised by many to get exercising to strengthen muscles above the knee and it has already worked just a few days later. See for eg nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/k...
Knee issues are extremely common for new runners and are primarily caused by the impact of running, so follow the advice in the guide on minimising impact and dealing with injury.
Exercises definitely work. I was put off running for years due to knee area issues. Started c25k last August following all the rules, did lots of strength and flex and had no problems. Give it a go, my knees are the best they’ve been for 30years. Happy running
