I am now running 5km after 14 weeks of running twice a week. My mental health has improved and so has my stamina. Several people have commented on how much weight I have lost. Actually none 🤔 but I have definitely toned and now look slimmer. Success !! 😁
5k running, soooooo happy 🏃♀️😊: I am now... - Couch to 5K

Well done. Thanks for posting this as it's so inspiring for a complete beginner like me. I too am looking to boost my mental well-being as well as physical. Keep it up.
Well done nice time for a 5k.
Congratulations! Another first 5k faster than mine was too!
Weight isn’t everything, especially early on the fitness journey. If you have it stable, in theory you’ll start to lose some when the muscle development tails off... and now you’re fitter and healthier you have lots more time, so there’s no rush.
Thanks I am trying to get faster at running and my aim is to do the Parkrun on the next few weeks when I graduate from the couch to 5 k program.
Cool... keep the pace down on most runs, there’s a saying “slow down to speed up” and it’s true. Some shorter quick ones and some longer slow ones are good... save the 5k pace/distance combo for “race” day. It’s still early days and you’re still developing those running legs and aerobic capacity... watch your comfortable/easy pace rise over time and you’ll be amazed what you can do to that time.
Amazing well done!! This is very inspiring as I’ve just started. What watch do you have? Would you recommend it?
I’ve heard the fitbits aren’t great. Thanks for that!
