Back in Auckland after a grueling journey which involved a very long haul flight and a nasty stomach bug of which I’ll speak no more! Needless to say I was pretty jet lagged yesterday morning when I got home, 24 hours later I’ve been for my first home run since graduating in Florida last week and also finished my first week of consolidating. The run was great, I’m trying out the Nike Run club app with coached runs, so far apart from the slightly cheesy American spin I really like it. I’m definitely feeling stronger and am able to speed up and slow down a bit during the run instead of just focusing on finishing. Twice this week I have used the last 30 second to do a fast sprint, there is no way I could have done that during week 9! It’s good to be home and running with no humidity, didn’t smash any records though but I’ll put that down to the jet lag 😀 Happy running everyone.

I start with Ju-ju on the 31st of Jan, there are a bunch of us signed up for the next 8 week course. She posted it in here about a week ago.
The Nike app seems pretty good. I’m thinking I will try a few different ones as Nike doesn’t seem to pick up heart rate from my Fitbit. It supports Apple Watch which I have but can’t really get on with.
I spent 10 years rotating out of India so I’m very familiar with that situation! 😀
Well done and what a great photo. I’m in awe of how you’ve completed this in different time zones and with all the travel and looking forward to hearing more about your running adventures. Thanks for being such an inspiration.
