So Monday I start where I started last Monday, week 8 run 1, 28 minutes of running, 28 minutes of peace, 28 minutes of a clear head.
Was in two minds to run this morning or tomorrow morning as I feel a little crappy, one of the grandkids has suspected chicken pox, something I've never had despite my mum's attempts when I was a child, I got a few sniffles and that was it.
Funny thing was, two to three weeks later other kids I'd played with came down with it I've never had mumps either, again, despite my mum's attempts when I was a kid.
Don't get me wrong, my mum was a great mum, still is, but she had it in her mind that chicken pox and mumps parties were the way of making sure that my brother and I got these things as kids and hopefully not as adults.
She even took me to the doctors, according to the doctor (about 44 years ago) it is possible to be a carrier of these, tie that with never having a hangover and I'm a happy bunny.
Anyway, I digress again, the run went well, increased pace at the beginning, reduced slightly 2/3's of the way through and then up to my target 5k pace for the last 90 seconds or so.
Overall, a great run and I'm really looking forward to week 8. One more hill walk this week and then Sunday is a total day off.
Happy running everyone.
