Still jetlagged and with an already achey calf I set out on this mornings treadmill run with a little apprehension. Was doing OK until the final 5 minute run where I had to slow down to a brisk walk about 2 minutes into the run. I did recover for a brief run during the cooldown period so i guess it's not that bad. I probably should have waited another day to get over the jet lag and the toll that 9 days of 25k+ steps per day took on my body before attempting this one.
Not sure if i should repeat the week, the run or just move on come next Monday. I do know that i have a foam roller thingy waiting for me at home which i will put to good use tonight.

Technically we’re supposed to repeat a run if we don’t make it, but It’s really up to you as it was only a semi-thing (not going to use the word fail as you ran & that’s never a fail!). If you’ve been struggling, I’d say repeat, if you’re normally reaching each step comfortably, you could move on. Week 5 ends with quite a milestone (completely achievable physically, but psychologically challenging!) so that’s a factor. But no need to repeat the week, just that run if you feel you need it.
That seems a reasonable step. I’ll give myself another rest day and try it again. Mentally I was ok but physically one leg gave me the issue. Will get rolling that later
What you learned from W4r3 was that sometimes your body needs more of a rest before running. That's a good lesson learned. You did not fail, you simply learned something new.
