My first time running 28 mins and according to Strava I only ran a distance of 3.4k šŸ˜© I honestly couldnā€™t of run any faster than what I did. What distances are others achieving for that time running?

I have just done 28mins. I did 2.5miles (4km) according to my LETSFIT watch but that includes the 5mins walking at the start and end. I reckon we did similar.

If you ran as fast as you could then do other people's times really matter? Age, weight, route and fitness level before you started C25K all have an influence and everyone is different.

Have you tried starting off slower and picking up your speed in your last 5 minutes? You might go further that way.

Your speed will improve naturally as you complete the programme and consolidate.

My first 28 mins I did 3.7KM inc warm up and warm down. Iā€™ve graduated now and ran my first 5K in 34.36. Second post grad run today was 4.5KM in 30 mins. Times are improving with each run. The most important thing is that you run to your pace. As you get fitter you will get faster. Just keep going youā€™re doing great

Donā€™t worry about the distance - if you go too fast too soon you could get a nasty injury. The run should feel fun and not stressful.

Iā€™ve just graduated and at 30 mins have only done 3.4km so really slow. Iā€™m thinking of repeating week nine a few times to bed in my pace before going further in time and distance.
