I've just completed same run this morning - I struggled on Wk3 Run2 but this time on Wk4 it has gone better than I thought. It was hard but we both did it! My knees were giving me problems on Wk3 , whereas it's your calves. So I have slowed down, tried to make the jogging lighter, paid attention to my stride and have found this has helped no end, in fact my knees seem to have improved. Good Luck with Run 3, I know we can do this. :-)

Its nice to know someone else is at my stage, i did mine yesterday and may do 3rd run tomorrow and then will consider wether to repeat week 4 as i know whats coming in week 5 as i have got to this stage before i try to start another week on a saturday but not his week as i am a volunteer at the rugby league international in Huddersfield, so may be Sunday. Thanks for your reply and good luck

I was wondering the same as you whether to repeat Wk4 again. I'll see how Run3 goes, try Wk 5 and if I don't feel comfortable about it, I will repeat Wk4.

Like others on here and maybe yourself, I never expected to get this far as running is something I've never done previously. Good Luck

I think it was around week 4 that I thought my calves might actually explode! I feel for you! Well done on doing it. It will get easier, I promise :) Have a look at doing some calf excercises and massage them to within an inch of their life every chance you get! Stretching after the runs will also help enormously. I remember thinking 'other people can't have this sort of pain'! But lots do and it does go gradually. Stick with it, you're doing great! :)

But you did it :) Well done,! If it were easy, we would not need a programme. :) With determination like that, graduation is definitely in sight for you :)

Stick with it.. steady and slow... also, strength and flex exercises can help and massage too.. just take it gently.

"No one will tell you it will be easy, but they will tell you, it will be worth it."

So....very well done :)
