First post grad run and did it without laura, i just used runkeeper and had my music on and i did miss laura but i had a brilliant run. I tried a different route out because was getting fed up of being blown along the prom!! 😰 there is a circuit doggy walk slash nature reserve not very far away from me so i did a few circuits until i had run for 30 mins but hadn't quite done 5k so decided to carry on until i had. According to runkeeper i ran 5.64km for 40.19 mins at an average pace of 7.09 ...reasonably pleased 😀

I guess I can relate, or probably not since I am dreading not to go run without Laura and thats why I have been doing 2 runs post graduating with the W9R3 podcast, and yesterday I tried stepping stone and found it interesting and doable, but probably I didn't cover a lot of distance (my GPS was a acting up a bit so don't know).

Your pacing is pretty good. Keep it up, and you'll get there in no time. :)

I was thinking of trying the C25K+ podcasts haven't made my mind up yet....i definitely want to work on my stamina and pace, although im pretty pleased with how my breathing seems to settle into a nice pattern now when im running. ..at long last!

Well done. I have been doing the C25K+ podcasts - I couldn't get to grips with the Stepping stones one but love the speed one and the stamina one is great for a 5k - (I did need to run for an extra 5 minutes but I am short so only have a small step). I run around the 7min mark too so you should find them comfortable. :) Happy Running

I love the idea of being blown along the prom. The grass is always greener, and all that jazz... Well done for dealing with your first Laura-induced cold turkey. She's starting to sound a bit like a sect-style guru to me now, given all these graduates who are lost without her. :) I loved her company, but hated the music, and fell out with her when she didn't invite me home for a coffee and a Hobnob by the time I got to the end of week two. We'd been through so much together, it's the least she could have done. Meh.
