Nope, you are not alone. I feel guilty and tend to be a miserable grumpy person the day I miss mine
No - I feel guilty too.
Not sure it's a good thing, though -running should be pleasurable - so I'm working hard to relax about it and see rest days (scheduled or otherwise) as all part of the plan.x

Another guilty one here! I feel very guilty whenever I miss a run. I even feel guilty if:
a) I did the shorter speed podcast instead of at running least 30 minutes
b) I need 34:30 minutes or more for a 5K
c) I go for a run on the treadmill instead of running in the park
Complete nonsense, isn't it?

I've been away for a few days and come back to find you've turned into a purple hippo with fangs, what happened?! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is feeling guilty for not going running (for nearly a week, she whispered very quietly).
Hey glad you are back, yeh the other profile looked too much like someone I know . Anyway I am up and getting ready to head out the door. I will let you know how I get on.....it's dark outside sniff sniff.
How did you get on? I really couldn't manage to run that early in the morning, takes all day for my bones to wake up so I'll be heading out this evening after a week off and plenty of guilt.
This morning wasn't too bad, was expecting it to be a lot colder but it was just fresh...will have to invest in some cold weather clothing. I am doing Week 7 25mins ( Again ) because I was happy with my progress after graduation. I struggle with the evening runs, when I get home from work I try and spend a little time with the little man ( Watching Pepper Pig & Ben and Holly ) dinner then bath time. By that time I am on wind down and can't get motivated.
Glad you had a good run, how are you getting on with the 25 minutes? Really wish I could get myself up and out early - maybe I'll give it a go but think it will be a disaster. I went out last Tuesday but went out earlier than usual in the evening and it was just too hot, gave up after 20 minutes. Really must get back into it, then I can ditch the guilt.
Well I am working on the brain and legs communication. My brain says keep going and the legs say stop and normally the legs win. Today stopped for about 10secs and started back and completed the 25mins. I tend to be hard on myself I should be able to run without stopping ( stopping are for whimps ) hahahaha. The morning runs are great it sets you up to face the day all fresh and bushy eyed. What do you us to track your run ? I use Ismoothrun and upload to Nike plus.
I think one of the biggest battles is the mental one, your body is quite capable but your brain tells you otherwise. Luckily I have a huge stubborn streak so that helps but I really need to get back into it. Mornings would be a good time as evenings are always busy with two teenagers, I'll definitely try it. I use Runtastic on my phone to track my runs, seems to work fine for me although the distance numbers aren't quite as high as I'd like them to be!
