Hi this is Dogbot 🐶here

Sorry I haven’t been posting much quick background emergency ileostomy end of January I all so have cirrhosis because of bad choices made in my younger days ( was/am an alcoholic my last drink 28th September 2003 just over 17 years ago. But back to my ileostomy I have had trouble trying to get any thickness in my output, I have done all the normal marshmallows jelly baby’s nothing has really worked. I’m in hospital again and my wife came in and said a friend of hers recommended Mcvities thin Arrowroot biscuits OMG what a difference. Now I have been told that my operation was very high and not much before the bag ,but if you are having trouble please try the biscuits, the wife says she can only get them online because they are such an old fashioned remedy.

Good luck 🤞

Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely give it a go. Always have leaks due to being runny

The thing with the biscuits is you must find how many works and keep eating them when you stop it starts again. So that’s the down side but good luck

I have tried all these options with little or no success so have no resorted to Imodium once a day works well without unnecessary weight gain. I naturally do not like sweet things so it suits me, at least it allows me to have a reasonable night sleep.

My big problem is air/wind my bag its like a helium balloon first thing in the morning lol

Hi I say what ever works 👍, now I suffer from wind I found windezz helps one after every meal and of course fizzy drinks broccoli and cauliflower good luck it’s not nice waking up with a gas container strap to you side .

Hi Ssrk sorry to hear that it’s so draining and exhausting when the bag keeps going, have you got a stoma nurse that comes to you if so phone her/him for help you might just be doing something small wrong. But the biscuits are Mcvities thin Arrowroot, the wife just put that in Amazon and brought a box but as I said different things work for different people and the amount you eat you will have to find out. My problem is wind still even though I take windeze and also find Gaviscon a good help, good luck to you I really hope you find a solution quickly because it is draining but do phone your stoma nurse my one is fantastic with little bits of information 👍
