As a recent illeo also I can only say to you that watch what you eat before bedtime, this will help make the pouch last longer during the night... I have not had headaches with it, maybe your meds are affecting you... check with your G.P or stoma nurse that there are not side effects occuring with them. Hope this helps, my pouch does not get me up if I watch what I eat in the evening, and do have a very active stoma, so do try giving it less to bother you with. xx

Awww feel for you... have you tried half a banana for supper or 4 marshmallows, they both work wonders on thickening up the output and if I have a wee bowl of plain rice it slows down the out drastically, well into the next morning.... thinking of you...Janey.xx

The headaches could be caused by dehydration. Maybe you should drink more during the day and see if that helps.

Hi, I too wake up some times with a mild headache. I know that when I don't drink enough I seem to be prone to get it. My mouth being dry is a good sign, plus a more yelow urine.

The key is for me to have an early tea, no later than 7. Then only fluids till bed if I am peckish. I do enjoy a packet of crisps. The more you eat the more out put there will be.

When exercising I supplement my water with diaralite to replace salts ect lost. I have a reasonable sleep most night and wake when I have over done it, eating. Luckily over time you will find what works for you. Good luck.
