PIP Appeal and CMT
that is awful, I would never vote Conservative for the damage they are doing to the poor and disabled. It hasn't happened to me yet but the best advice I've seen here is to get a proper welfare rights advisor to appeal the decision. I think someone said don't just get someone from CAB who can help fill in the forms, but someone who really knows the issues. Maybe someone here can suggest how to find someone? Best of luck.
Hello to BelindaCMT...... My own daughter has also lost her mobility benefit (car) following her recent "face-to-face" home visit, and assessment: Look up your Local Councils Services, Welfare and Benefits Officer(s), and make an appointment: They have a wealth of knowledge on PIP's applications: Take the DWP to a totally independent Government tribunal, a long list, and could take approx (5 - 8 months) :
Best of luck......

Bloody liberty what they do when living is hard enough as it is ... even 1 month is a long time to go without a car when you need one.....
It took me nearly 2 years to be awarded pip after a court hearing. Caused far to much stress. Good lucky
The same happened to me, I found out I was assessed by a mental health nurse who read up about CMT the night before seeing me. I lost my mobility car, I went for a reconsideration, I lost that. I ended up going to a tribunal and I won. It took nearly a year for me to get my PIP back....James
