Curious it has taken 4 years to get set back up with pain management. Now instead of morphine they want to use buphrenorphine patches. Does anyone have experience with this working. I was given Norco for breakthrough but am scared of the patch. Anyone have success he has started me at 75mcg of b. To morphine 30 mg 3x a day. I am afraid of this patch one I love hot baths they sooth pain and heating blanket. Let me know? Thanks cscpain

YES! Works a great!

I started with these patches about five years ago after trying various other painkillers. My started with a dose of 5. This initially made me nauseous but no problem since. After about a year the weekly dose was upped to 10 and a couple of years later to 15.

They work very well.

If I was able to get a docs appointment I would ask to be gradually reduced over a period of a few weeks. Stopping cold turkey is very hard, I’ve tried it, so I need to get the dose reduced gradually.

Along with the Butec I take co-codamol at night.
