There have been some good examples of crowd sourced data, like 'trending' lists, to collect and present useful information. This app specific to a disease and is a great idea. I hope it goes well and we can have some interesting conclusions.

Great idea
It would be interesting to know from the study the list of different medical conditions people have had in this study.
I've been very grateful this study exists as I've been try so hard to find any corolation or triggers to what sets off flair ups and general up and down days with my pain???
I do think there is an emotional factor linked into my flair ups also. If I'm in any stressful physically or emotional environment my pain reacts badly.
Hi, I can't recall registering a condition when I loaded motif. It would be interesting wouldn't it? I'm rheumatoid arthritis myself. Agreed with emotional element - a contributing factor for sure, but thrashing about in the garden guarantees pain the next day for me!
Cheers,
Hi,
I suffer with fibromyalgia, ME, plus other medical conditions.
It's interesting that as well as the weather affecting you that emotional difficulties affect you too.
Regarding gardening (the physical element) I have had my condition diagnosed 18+ years and found trying to pace my activity helps. I have to remember that my brain might want me to do an hour's worth of swimming because I'm enjoying it so much, but if I do more than 20mins I'm going to push myself way beyond what my muscles are willing to cope with. I have to ask myself "is this activity really worth exasperating my pain levels, is this really worth triggering a flair up? Mostly my answer in "NO", but sometimes if there is a special family event, the answer maybe "yes".
I have noticed thanks to the study and the app, that if I've had a highly active day which I've really enjoyed, my body crashes for days after. I went wedding dress shopping with my daughter and it took me AGES to physically recover and get my pain levels back to a manageable level.
I hope you continue to love being in your garden. Maybe pacing might help you to recover quickly and enable you to do more but with less pain??
Best of luck
Nicky
